Lee's Summit Estate Planning Attorney Since 1976

Missouri Estate Planning and Probate Attorney

At Lewis Law Office, P.C., we pride ourselves on value — not just the value of services we offer, but also personal values, which motivate us to strive for what is best for you and your family.

Since 1976, William A. Lewis and his staff have worked to ensure that our clients’ needs and the needs of their families are met. Whether you need to preserve a legacy for your children, care for an aging loved one or provide specific instructions for your medical care in the event you are incapacitated, we can help. Our law practice serves the people of Lee’s Summit and surrounding communities of the Kansas City area.

Probate Costs Can Compromise Your Legacy

One of the most important reasons people seek an estate planning lawyer is to create a legacy for their loved ones after they die. Failing to draft a comprehensive estate plan or take other preventative legal actions can result in a lengthy probate process that can consume as much as 10 percent of your estate and take a year or more to complete.

Our law firm has established a trusted reputation by helping clients preserve their assets. We can help you create a cost-effective estate plan that will allow you to avoid the death probate process. We can also help you avoid the probate process that comes with incapacity.

How Can I Avoid Costly Court Actions?

The best way to preserve your assets is to consult with an experienced elder law attorney. We can assist you in creating the appropriate legal documents to protect your assets from being distributed, assigned or otherwise spent against your wishes.

Missouri law provides avenues to preserve assets in a variety of situations, including:

A Lee’s Summit Attorney Who Can Save You Money

If you think hiring an attorney will cost more than you can afford, consider the costs of not hiring one. Missouri law provides many tools for protecting assets, but only if you know how to use them.

Getting the appropriate legal guidance early can actually save you money — and lots of it — over time. This is because your money will go where you direct it, instead of being tied up in court, or spent on nursing care. These can be especially complicated where a subsequent marriage may be involved.

We invite you to join us for a consultation on estate planning or to attend one of our many free seminars on the topic. Also, find out what our clients say about us.
